In 1994, Mark and his wife and business partner D Parisi bought their first property together. Since then they've bought and sold a number of properties over the years in Melbourne, Sydney and the Sunshine Coast, some of which were single dwellings, some were in community title schemes and some were rented/leased. We’ve also leased residential and commercial properties as the tenant. Our experience with the various body corporate managers was underwhelming to say the least.
Excessive levies, poor corporate governance, ineffective communication, taking sides, laziness and self-interest were some of the behaviours we experienced.
Our founders are both Chartered Accountants (Fellows) and both have had significant business and audit compliance experience with small, medium and major clients, including the operation of trust accounts and 'agency/consulting' style businesses. They very much understand the concept of corporate governance and how operational transparency at all levels is vital.
It isn't hard to do the right thing, until it is, and then the only safety net is integrity and transparency.
Having always been interested in real estate we did think, "One day, we should do this properly...and maybe get rid of a few bad apples in the process." Robisi Body Corporate Management is our first step towards doing just that within the Robisi Property Group.
